Sylvia Soto-Marlin began her illustrious career in banking over thirty years ago. She has climbed the ladder of success by beginning as a bank teller and with her hard work and dedication has reached the position of Director of Lending. She studied with The Banking Academy in Chicago, Illinois and has earned her certificates in Business Administration and Sales & Marketing. She also attended Elgin Leadership Academy where she was also honored with a certificate in leadership.
Sylvia has lived for the past sixteen years in Port Saint Lucie, Florida where she has diligently worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer. Sylvia’s reputation in Port Saint Lucie has catapulted her to be one of the most sought-after Loan Officers in Port Saint Lucie. The clients she has worked with in the past, all praise Sylvia for her communication skills, compassion and knowledge of the industry. No matter how simple or complex the question the client asks of her, Sylvia answers & educates the client to these matters in a professional and compassionate way. This is the key to her success, the relationship she fosters between herself and her clients. As such, she continues to receive the highest accolades from her clients. She is an expert in conventional, FHA and VA loans. She prides herself in knowing the mortgage business, which is a huge asset to her clients. Sylvia has assisted countless of people in the education of mortgages and credit repair, so people who thought they were never able to afford a home, can begin their journey in doing so. She has held lectures in different local venues to teach the public about mortgages and the possibility of owning real estate.
Not only is Sylvia and expert in her field of mortgage lending, Sylvia has also worked very close with community leaders and local politicians. Recently she has been involved in relief drive for the victims of Puerto Rico due to hurricane Maria. She has assisted with the coordination of food, supplies and other relief aid to the Puerto Rican people on the island. She has worked with politicians in the past. In a Proclamation ceremony that occurred in 2017, the Mayor honored Sylvia Soto-Marlin for Hispanic Heritage Month, due to her association with the Puerto Rican Association for Hispanic Affairs (PRAFHA), this recognition is a yearly recognition of her involvement in the community.
